How can I create an auto-responder in Webmail?


For more information on what an auto-responder is, please reference What is an auto-responder?


Step 1:

First, log into the 1&1 Webmail 2.0 interface at https://email.1and1.co.uk/ using your full 1&1 e-mail address as the username and the account's password.

Step 2:

Click the Configuration button toward the top-left of the page as show in the image below.

Step 3:

In the Configuration menu on the left-hand side, scroll down and select Extras.

Step 4:

Click the Auto-responder link to set up an auto-responder for the account.

Step 5:

Select to turn the auto-responder On.
Enter a Subject for the mail that will be sent as a reply to received mails.
Enter a name in the From text box. This is the name that others will see when they receive your auto-responder message.
Enter a Message for the auto-responder e-mail. This will be the body of the e-mail.

When finished, click the OK button.

Step 6:

You are informed that the auto-responder settings have been saved and the auto-responder will remain active until disabled.
