What can you do to ensure your domain name is renewed?


* Contact your registration agent in advance of expiry to arrange the renewal of your domain name. If you domain is held with 1&1 then the renewal of the Domain registration is done automatically, unless you tell us not to.
* It is vital that you keep your contact details up-to-date with your registration agent to enable us to contact you.
* It is a good idea to know the renewal date of your domain name, which you can check by using the online WHOIS search .


For .com & .net domains this can be done at online WHOIS search

For any Domains ending .uk such as .co.uk or .org.uk you can do a WHOIS search on the Home page of Nominet. nominet.org.uk

For .info Domain Names WHOIS information can be found on www.afilias.info

For .biz Domain Names WHOIS information can be checked by clicking here

For .org Domain Names WHOIS information can be checked by clicking here

* Keep an eye on the registration status of your domain name. This will tell you the stage your
domain name is at in the renewal process.
* If you receive a renewal demand for your registration that has not come from your Registrar or 1&1, speak to your registrar or 1&1 if the domain is held with us, to find out if it is genuine before you pay.
